Our Terms & Conditions

Stalking T&C’s

All stalking will be run by our guides and estate staff. Their word is final on all stalking queries.

  • It is important to note that depending on weather conditions and deer movements, it's possible for guests to not be successful in taking a deer or seeing deer be taken. Whilst this is of course a possibility, we will all be doing everything we can to give each guest several opportunities to safely and humanly take a deer or see deer being taken. For the Hunter’s Experience only, We will endeavour for all participants to shoot at least one hind, possibly more depending on cull numbers and the other variables.

  • Hunting wild animals is inherently hard and potentially dangerous. Guests need to have a good level of fitness and disclose any medical issues that could pose a risk to them or others. We can cater for all levels of fitness with prior notice.

  • Scotland and England in the winter can be a harsh environment and its not unheard of that poor conditions hinder trips to the hill and even forests. The Wild Order will not take any responsibility for the lack of hunting opportunities presented due to poor weather conditions, all guests accept and agree to this on booking on to any of our courses.

  • The Wild Order and or the guide have the right to ask guests to leave if their behaviour is not appropriate, or dangerous.

  • Safety is paramount. Before the first stalk begins the rifle (sportsperson, stalker) is taken to the estate shooting range which includes life-size deer targets.

This is to establish that:

  • he/she is comfortable with the rifle and knows how to handle it safely.

  • his/her aim is accurate.

  • the rifle is accurately zeroed.

The etiquette of the sport is also summarised.

For guests who use an estate rifle when stalking on the estate ground, it is not necessary to be in possession of a Firearm Certificate since all stalking is under the guidance and supervision of professional estate staff.

Dogs or pets of any kind are not permitted.
