The Hunter — an introduction
The Wild Order continuously strives to improve access to UK hunting, encourage diversity and engage our guests in nature through meaningful experiences. For this reason, we have designed The Hunter — an introduction, a short course for those looking for something a little less remote and more affordable.
This is the first in a series of courses based at Wyken Vineyards, so keep an eye out for more to follow soon.
This course is specifically for those looking to begin their journey in the hunting world, and want to gain that deep connection to their food. We will furnish you with many of the tools necessary to become a successful hunter. During this 3-day immersive course guests will gralloch, skin, butcher, and learn to shoot and identify deer. You may even have time to catch a trout or two. We will give you all the practical real-life learning you need so that you can go on to take things to the next level.
You will do everything on this awesome 3-day course but pull the trigger. You will witness our experienced team of guides doing this if the opportunity arrises, this ensures all deer are killed humanely. Once the deer is down it's over to you.

Time on the range to practice using a full-bore rifle and an understanding of shot placement;
A fire cooking workshop;
Equipment and rifle selection;
Deer selection/identification & gralloching workshop and in the field practice;

Spring evenings around a campfire;
Amazing food cooked over the fire by our awesome chef. The estate is a wonderful wine producer and we'll make sure you get to enjoy some of this fine wine around a campfire.

The Wild Order will provide large bell tents as accommodation. These will be shared, two people to one large bell tent.
You will need to bring a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag.
Alternatively, you may bring your own camping gear.

Wyken Vineyards is an exceptionally managed estate in the heart of Suffolk. It has a fine restaurant driven by game and locally grown produce, it makes incredible wine and is set among stunning woodlands and lakes.

£750 - The price is fully inclusive. This will cover all the stalking, accommodation and catering for the whole time you’re with us.
